Weddings, zaffahs, anniversaries, baptisms, showers, engagements, corporate events, office parties, benefits, galas, cruises or any other special event.

Performances

Performances generally begin with a choreographed entrance, with accessories such as veils, Isis wings, shamadan, etc. We then entertain the guests to the sounds of an oriental music medley (if desired). The finale is marked by a spectacular percussion solo.

The length of the performance or the desired style (raqs sharqui, baladi, folklore) can be modified to fit the occasion.

Service Radius

Amelia usually performs on the island of Montreal, the south shore (Longueuil) and the north shore (Laval). Destinations exceeding 30 minutes of travel time from downtown Montreal will be charged extra.

With reasonable notice (and an agreement concerning transportation and accommodation), she can perform anywhere in Quebec, Canada, or around the world.

Duration and Rates*

A standard professional presentation lasts 25 minutes, but it’s possible to shorten or lengthen the performance. Feel free to contact us to discuss your special requests!

Tips

As is customary, you may tip the dancer during or after the performance.

Facilities

The dancer must be provided with a clean dance surface, free of broken glass or other waste that may cause injury. She must also have access to a private room in order to prepare herself before and after the performance.
Refreshments are always appreciated.

Sound System

The client must provide an adequate sound system, able to read burnt CDs and play at a suitable volume. DVD players are often inadequate.

Music

Amelia provides a variety of music consisting of Egyptian and Lebanese classics as well as more recent hits from the Arab world. We can also include your special requests.

Musicians

Should you require something more extravagant, musicians may accompany Amelia’s performance. Amelia can provide the services of a percussionist, a keyboard player, a singer or even a complete Arab orchestra!

Amelia accepts last minute engagements depending on her availability. Since her performance calendar is quite full, it is advisable to book her services many months in advance for weddings.

In order to formalize the agreement and ensure Amelia’s presence at your event, a contract will be drawn for all advance bookings (3 or more weeks prior to the event).
A security deposit is required.
